### 3.1 Website Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:

Page views and navigation patterns
Browser type and version
Device information (desktop/mobile/tablet)
Geographical location (country/region level only)
Referral sources

Vercel Analytics operates without cookies and does not track individual users.

### 3.2 Android Alpha Updates

If you sign up for SkillQuest updates or Android alpha information, we collect:

Email address (required)
Name (optional)
Platform preference (Android)

This data is securely stored in Supabase (EU servers) and used to keep you informed about SkillQuest updates.

### 3.3 Contact Forms

If you contact us via a contact form, we collect:

Your name
Email address
Subject and message content

This information is sent via Resend to hello@skill-quest.app for customer support.

### 3.4 SkillQuest Mobile App

When you use the SkillQuest app, we collect app data such as:

Account Data: Username, email, profile picture (optional)
Skill Tracking Data: Skills, timer logs, XP, levels, streaks
Family Mode Data: Parent-child account relationships, consent settings
Device Data: Device ID for push notifications, app version
Analytics: In-app usage patterns (anonymously aggregated)

All app data is stored locally on your device and optionally synchronized to our secure servers for backup and cross-device sync.

### 3.5 Anonymous usage statistics in the app

To see which features are used, the app sends a small, fixed set of anonymous events to Aptabase (EU servers, Germany): which screen is opened, which timer technique is started, completed or abandoned, whether the first timer was completed, when the subscription page is shown and whether the age question was answered.

No identifiers: no account ID, device ID, advertising ID, name, email address, skill name or free text is sent.
Not linked to you: the events are not linked to your account. Aptabase uses a random, short-lived ID per session and does not store your IP address.
The same for everyone: this applies to all users, including guests and children, because nothing is collected that can be traced back to a person. No profiles are built and nothing is used for advertising.

The optional Firebase Analytics, which you switch on yourself in your profile settings, is separate from this.

### 3.6 Tester feedback

Through the feedback form on skill-quest.app you can tell us anonymously what you think of the app. We only store your answers, your device type, the language of the page and whether we may quote your answer without your name. We don't ask for your name or email address. To limit abuse we store a one-way code (hash) of your IP address that changes every day, never the IP address itself. We keep feedback for at most 2 years.
